Y&T went on after Metallica.
“Look at that scoreboard,” said Tim. I looked up and saw that it said “Raiders of Rock. Y&T”. One song they played was “Summertime Girls”, which was a huge hit currently on MTV. This was a fun, campy video of the band hanging out on the beach. It always reminded me of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. The video showed the band trying to impress ladies who refused to give them the time of day.

The song was pretty commercial for Y&T but I don’t think it lost them any fans. Y&T always came off as laid back dudes who didn’t take themselves too seriously.

We started backing away from the stage when Y&T finished their set. Ratt was playing next and it seemed like a good time to get some food.
