The End Of Prohibition


Although we hadn’t discussed it yet, it already felt like Rose was part of the band. When we came back from lunch, we even showed her some of our originals.
“Here’s a new one I’ve been working on,” said Mick as he grabbed a notepad. He picked up his bass and started playing a new one called “Better Days Ahead”. He played it through to the end of the first chorus and then paused.
“It sounds cool,” said Rose. “What’s it about?”
“That one’s historical,” said Tim with a grin.
“Really,” said Rose with an eyebrow slightly raised.
“Yeah,” said Mick. “It’s kind of a celebration song. I mean. Well, it’s about the end of prohibition.”
