The Filthy Fifteen

“Did you hear about the PMRC?” said Tim one day when we were hanging out.
“What’s that?” I said.
“It stands for Parents Music Resource Center. Anyway, my mom was telling me about them. It’s a bunch of bored housewives who want to put warning stickers on albums containing dirty language.”
“You’re shitting me!”
“I shit you not. Supposedly they’re married to senators or something. They have connections in Washington D.C. But the thing that sucks is that if an album has that sticker, you won’t be able to buy it unless you’re 18.”
“So what albums do you think will have the warning?”
“Well, potentially it could be anything with dirty language. But check it out. They made a list of their top 15 most offensive songs. They call it the ‘Filthy Fifteen’.”
“I like that,” said Mick. “Filthy Fifteen. That has a nice ring to it.” We started laughing.
“Do you know what the songs are?”
“Yeah, I cut out the article so I would know what albums to buy next. I’m gonna use it as a shopping list.”
