Metal Up Your Ass

The next day, I was making a sandwich at work and noticed that we were out of sauce. I went back to the kitchen to refill the bottle and saw an interview taking place. Roger, the manager, was sitting in one chair. Across from him, in the chair facing me was the job candidate. As I was walking to the refrigerator, I had to do a double take. The interview candidate was wearing a Metallica t-shirt. Not just any Metallica t-shirt but the famous "Metal Up Your Ass" t-shirt. The picture on the front showed a toilet with a hand sticking out holding a knife straight up. I had to laugh. This guy had a lot to learn about interviewing. I started refilling the sauce bottle and glanced again in the direction of the interview that was taking place. The candidate pulled out a cigarette and casually lit it up as he slumped down in the chair a little more. I tried to hold back laughter as I went back to the sandwich area.
“You won't believe what I just saw,” I told Sarah who was making a sandwich.
“Oh shit, I know that dude,” she said as she looked back through the window.
“You do?”
“Yeah, I met him at a party last week.”
