Music To Get High To

Part of getting the perfect buzz was having the right music. We had some good go-to songs for this. “Night Prowler” was one. “Hallowed Be Thy Name” was another. One of my all time favorites was “Overdose” from AC/DC. I loved the way it started out. It sounded like Angus was just screwing around. I sometimes wondered if he was high when he recorded it. And then when the rest of the band joined in. What a killer song. AC/DC weren’t known for love songs but “Overdose” was actually kind of sweet if you listened to the words.

A cool album to listen to while high was The Wall by Pink Floyd. But you had to set aside enough time to listen to the whole thing. Other albums included Mötley’s Too Fast For Love. That was one I could listen to from beginning to end. Mick Mars had a cool way of playing. Like he wasn’t trying to impress anyone. He was just being himself and it always sounded cool. Judas Priest albums were always good. Same with Iron Maiden.
