The Coolest Guitar Riff I Ever Heard

“Let’s hear Megadeth,” I said.
He played the record which started with a classical sounding intro. After about 25 seconds a guitar joined in playing a short lead while the classical part wound down.”
“What a killer intro,” I said.
“It is,” agreed Omar.
Then it went into a speed metal riff. It was a cool song. Then song 2 came on.
“This is the title cut,” said Omar. “Killing Is My Business”.
“Wait! Play that part again,” I said. “That’s the coolest guitar riff I’ve ever heard.”
Omar played it again and we both concentrated on what we were hearing.
“That’s an amazing riff,” he agreed as we listened to the rest of it.
“Hey do you have a blank tape I can borrow? I need to learn this.”
“Definitely,” said Omar as broke out his box of blank TDK tapes.
I knew what I was going to be doing when I got home that night. I had to learn that riff, even if it killed me. After many times rewinding the tape and trying again, I started to get it. It took a while to wrap my head around the chromatic nature of the riff. But it was a great feeling once I got it down.
