“Speaking of horror,” said Mick. “Have you guys seen the new Evil Dead 2 trailer?”
“Hell yeah,” I said. “It looks pretty gnarly.”
“You’re not wrong,” said Rose. “I saw it last night with my friend.”
“How was it?”
“It was pretty rad. In fact, I’d like to see it again. When are you guys going?”
“Maybe tonight,” said Tim. “So it was that good?”
“I thought so. And Bruce Campbell was amazing. I think he’s my new favorite actor.”
Rose started writing on a napkin. “Thinking of that movie just reminded me of an idea for a song.”
We all craned to see what she was writing.
“Hey, don’t look,” she said, trying to cover it with her other hand.
But in that split second I caught a glimpse.
“Who’s laughing now?” I said, reading back the small part I saw.
Rose cracked a smile. “I’ll show you guys later. It’ll make sense when you see the movie.”
